The arrangements for two important events this year are now being finalised: the student exchange visit which, as last year, will incorporate our "fete du printemps", and the visit to Winchester by our Laon friends.

Hosts have been found for all the students, but there will be a social event for all Association members and the students on Tuesday 15th March in the St Lawrence Parish Hall at 7.30pm. It is a good opportunity to meet the students (and for the students to meet you!) and will follow the same procedure as last year; that is, all participants (except for the Committee members providing desserts), will bring enough food for a main dish for each of their party plus about 25%. Desserts will be provided by the Committee and wine by the Association. The cost of the hall and wine will be £4 per head (no payment for the students). If you intend to come to this event, please contact the Treasurer before 10th March. We shall also need to know what sort of dish you would like to bring for a main course.

We now have the date for the Laon visit: Friday May 13th to Monday May 16th. The outline programme is as follows:-

• Fri. May 13th:- guests arrive at Moat House car park, time to be advised.
• Sat. May 14th:- all day visit to Portsmouth Dockyard by coach.
• Sun. May 15th:- 7pm dinner at the Cathedral Refectory. Mon. May 16th:- guests depart from Moat House car park, time to be advised.
